Practical Ways to Honour your Priest
The right motive for honoring your pastor should be love. First for God and then Man, you can’t say you love God and do not receive the man he has sent.
RESPECT FOR THE MAN
✓ PRAYER.
Philippians 1:19
For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through YOUR PRAYER and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,(NKJV)
Romans 15:30
Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me,(NKJV)
✓ SERVICE
Philippians 2:22
But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.(NKJV)
✓ GIVING
Galatians 6:6
Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support].(AMP)
“You don’t have a need as long as you have a seed”. Pastor David Ogbueli
The Widow of Zarephat had a need but with the seed in her hand, her life was transformed and her need was met.
1 Kings 17:12
So she said, “As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”(NKJV)
“ *_Your priest comes first in your distribution of resources”_*
1 Kings 17:13
And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.(NKJV)
Ezekiel 44:30
The best of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all your sacrifices, shall be the priest’s; also you shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.(NKJV)
Prophets reward are not material things even though they come like that sometimes. Take a cue from the widow who said “I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin” (1Kings 17:12), we all have something to offer.
Christianity is not doing things out of compulsion or popular opinion, it is doing things out of revelation and that even in the after-life there is still going to be honour.
Honour is a culture not what you do and stop.
_The priest that launch you into destiny sustains that destiny._
He also stated that every Nahman has a leper problem and that it takes the prophet of God to stop that problem.
*“If you are taught faith, hope, love, eternity and not taught honour, you lack balanced diet and you will not prosper;*
"Believe in the word of God you shall be established believe in his prophet and you shall prosper”
2 Chronicles 20:20
…Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”(NKJV)
